I've been considering this gun as my very first. I've read varying opinions on Uberti, and since I don't plan on putting thousands of rounds through it, AND loving historical accuracy, I'm really leaning towards this one.
The website doesn't give it a name, like "El Patron", or "Hombre". I just wanted to know if anyone has one of these, and what they think of it!
Thanks for helping a newbie out!

The gun itself (Cattleman) is fine. But if you want historical accuracy, the brass gripframe is not authentic to this model. You would want the model with the blued steel gripframe (just a bit more expensive).
And if you set it up right, putting thousands of rounds through it is not a problem either ;)

Or spend a little bit more and get a SAA made entirely in the US by US Firearms (www.usfirearms.com). No matter which you buy, I highly recommend Longhunter as a great guy to do business with (www.longhunt.com). He will sell you anything from a Ruger to a Uberti to a USFA already tuned and slicked for about what you normally pay at your local gun emporium for a box stock gun.
