Dalton, are you planning any type of canopy for shade? I'm planning on attending unless it's over a hundred degrees for the weekend...
-
Wymore, we will probably have our canopys up over the water coolers. We did that for the State shoot, and it worked really good. That will be sat. night, and sunday.
As far as Flatwaters range, there isnt too much shade, except under umbrellas, and under the cover of the saloon.
Hope to see you there.
DM (ps, leave the red paint at home)

I do have that Big Nebraska "N" stiickers for your guncart, car, etc. ::) ::) ::)

Hope to see you there!

Early seven day forecast is good!
-
:'( I just gotta figure out how to be in 2 places at the same time. J. Dawg and I will be in Louisville this weekend.
When's your next one at GI?
-
Well Pitspitr, we have our monthlys every month, but I think thats the last of the 2 days/2 club things for this year.
1st Sunday is at Heartland Public Shooting Park, and the 3rd Sunday is at the Grand Island Rifle Club.
Good luck at CSG!!
DM (oh, btw, tomorrow is the day)

Excellent! I'll be looking forward to a report on the new recruit. :)
-
It was a great weekend, perfect weather, good friends, and an outstanding supper at the Liederkranz, only bummer was missing Dalton! I guess new babys are an excuse for missing a shoot...
-
Those little ones grow up fast these days. DM will make a shooter out of him when he's older.
-
Hey, but I made it to the Wild Bunch part!! Where were you then? Freeda made me go from the hospital to the range, with her and Wesley taggin along. Was a nice day for it, and she enjoyed the fresh air.
I am glad you had a good time, and hopefully we will make it to the next 2 day shoot. I have yet to make one, always having something else going on.
And yes, I did have somewhat of a good excuse to not be there.

Firewater told me I couldn't play, I've got a 93/97 or I'd of been there...
-
We missed all y'all at Louisville. It was a fun shoot and I made some new friends, but missed getting to visit with some old friends that are usually there.
-
Maybe next year Pitspitr, all us Nebraskans can get some schedules figured out so we arent doubled up again. I tried to do that this year, but was adamantly shut down.
Hope to see you next time!

According to Mike Stanner CSG is looking at moving the games to the 3rd weekend of June next year. They (Mike) also asked what people thought of moving the CAS match to GI the only ones that I heard comment were Richard Burhoop who said that it was virtually the same milage for hime either place, and myself who of course said it was a lot closer for me.
I'm going to try to get to the PVG shoot next weekend.
-
The third weekend is Flatwater's shoot. So they would have to figure in on that weekend...
-
Hmm. If they could do the CAS part in GI on the 4th weekend of June, that might be a good thing! It would not interfere with GI for sure, but I am not sure of Logans or other Nebraska shoot days.
They also might be able to catch people on the way to Hell ON Wheels, which will give them more shooters, even if they are from out of state.
Are they thinking of the CAS part the 3rd weekend, or just starting the CSG the 3rd weekend?
DM
-
NTR at Logan shoots on the fourth weekend and draws alot of Grand Island shooters, and with monthly matches averaging over a hundred people, I don't think Flatwater would even entertain the though of scheduling on their weekend... And I am not a member of Flatwater and this is just my opinion only...
-
I don't know but it sounds like there isn't a weekend in the month that CSG wouldn't step on somebody's toes. :-\
-
Yep, unless it was on the 2nd weekend. Who shoots then? I know Hill City, KS shoots then, but what about Nebraska?
DM
-
Only one I know of is a NCOWS group, the Blue River Regulators, they are located northwest of Lincoln near Valparaiso.
-
Well, the State Games encompasses any cowboy shooting style, so NCOWS groups should also be taken into consideration.
That said, I guess the only thing we can do is keep on moving on, and wait and see what the CSGames decides to do. Hopefully we will be able to work out an agreeable schedule.

The second weekend is Valpraiso NE, Louisville NE and red Oak IA for sure. It might also be the weekend that the Scottsbluff and Alliance clubs shoot and Ord also I think.
The 3rd weekend sounds like a good choice. Maybe the Flattwatter shootists would be willing to host it at thier great range since they don't have the State SASS shoot anymore.
-
Bowview, we discussed that today as well, between Freeda and I. It would already be their weekend, so would be the logical starting point.
BUT, until something official comes along from CSG, its all speculation until then.

2nd weekend is also Calamus Vigilance Committee. 'Course we're so small we almost don't count.
Bowview, did you get my e-mail?
-
I guess the only thing we can do is keep on moving on, and wait and see what the CSGames decides to do.
That's about right. Right now I think all they're doing is putting out feelers.
-
I thought that might also be the CVC weekend but wasn't sure.
The 2nd Sundays actualy have the most clubs shooting on the same weekend.
It probably hurts all the attendance a bit.
I think we'll stick with the 5th weekends for whatever we do at Columbus next year.
