the politicians get it all.........what the heck it seems to stay at the top in a nother part of town.
-
He'll just buy another gun with it!!!!! LOL and it won't even be for me :-\
-
That's a shame, Montana.
-
Wish I had enough left to get another one ::) :-\ 8)
-
I'm trying to buy an old pre-1900 Smith revolver in 32.20, hopefully I 'll have it by next week.
-
Don't wait on LR Miz Montana, jest go out an buy tha gun ya like! ;D
-
LIT she has more expensive taste than me.......
Tex I've bidded on them older colt 32-20's in the past never seem to win the bid, Still want a 1917 Army Colt or S&W
-
Those old 1917 models used to be priced reasonable, but not now. I'm still looking for one of those myself.
-
sure wish them liberals>Spit!< in d.c. would spur Housing and Car sales the way they have guns ammo and molds
-
All I need is another.
Got more CAS stuff then I kin shoot. Mah po ole Buntlines ain’t seen the light of day in I don’t know when. Wanted ‘em sooooooooooooo bad.
Got me this big ole container ah unrolled change ‘n prolly ‘nother hundred sittin’ ‘ere on the desk, in the way, I ain’t throwed in there. That ‘n dumpin’ a loser was what I used for the 26. Couldn’t have scored better Wednesday 26 er 34, a hunnert is a hunnert.
Still, when I pass the display case it the shop, my eyes just get stuck on the 19s in there. L’il ole night sights look so sad cuz they ain’t gottah home. They plead, ‘Please take me with you.’ Breaks mah heart.
Better git ta rollin' coins.........
-
I found a real nice Model 26 with night sights in a pawn shop several months ago and I bought it. It's alot easier to shoot than my 27. A Model 19 is only one I don't have right now. I keep hoping to run onto one at that pawn shop. They usually call me if they get a Glock or a SIG in that I might want.
-
Heck that's what them cans and jars of loose coins is go for........it's barely enough to buy a box of primers with...The guns is the cheap part... ::) They gettin' to be like having a Hoss or a motorcycle or a boat. I have been watching the prices on everything even the Rugar vaqueros go up pretty steady in the local shops. Montana's Kimber is a $100 higher than when she bought it. Less than 15 months ago.
Tex a guy at work had/has a Sig he's been wanted to sell, three barrels and extra Mags,(price seemed right) Not sure I trust this guy and have kind of walked away from him.

I'd like to find a reasonably priced adjustable sighted Ruger Single-six convertible in .32 H&R Mag and .32-20.
Slim

Slim, I'm tryin' to buy a pre-1900 32.20 Smith revolver right now. If I get it, I'm takin' it in for a check up. If it passes, I'm gettin' some 32.20 BP ammo to shoot in it.
-
The .32-20 and BP were made fer each other. ;)
Slim
-
Slim, the convertables were Blackhawks, the 32-20 is too long a round for the single-six and they only built I think a 1000 of them about 1990.

I didn't know they were Blackhawks. A pard at the local CAS club has a pair of Vaquero birdsheads with dual cylinders. I figured these were the single-six frame.

Hmm, now I need to measure, but I thought the 32-20 was too long for the Single-Six, that's what they said when that company had those Blackhawks made up.
-
I haven't seen that old Smith other than a picture of it. I doesn't look too bad for a 100 year old handgun.

Are ya able ta share a picture with us? What model is it?

Ya can send me some a that cash. Lil has her heart set on a Richards Mason type conversion. I would love ta buy it fer her.
So I kin shoot it too.
-
Longs I’m spendin’ what I ought ta do is get me one the .22 conversion uppers for the 34. Was really impressed with the one Veeb stuck onna 17. Thing functioned flawlessly all mornin’. Lotta fun ta shoot ‘n put ‘em right where ya aimed ‘em.
Think ‘e sed it was $275.00 Seen ‘em cheaper but I'd want one werks good as that’n.
-
Got a friend with a Class 3, has an XM-177, short Nam era Seals type M-16, he has a 22 conversion, pain in the butt to load mags, but 22 LR is a hoot full auto.
-
Got a Ruger 10/22 that has more accesories fer it than any other gun I've seen. Can order a hand crank fer the trigger an git full auto kinda. Not much fun in kalifornia with the 10 round magaine limit, but it's an innerestin little item. Looks like fishin gear.
Ta plink 22 LR I got a soft spot fer any a the Ruger Mark series. Kin get a Mark 3 fer about 250 brand new.
-
In .22 I've got a Heritage SA, two cylinders. Long guns, I've got a Marlin semi carbine, and a 1947 vintage 39A. the 39A needs some work on the innards as it doesn't feed well. not sure if it doesn't like the REmmies I've got to feed it, or it's a mechanical problem. Had it worked on some, but still no joy. too bad, it's a right nice rifle to shoot. had to replace the stock, too much oil in the wrist from storage I guess. have to find me a good stock worker to get the final fitting and finish done......Buck 8) ::)
-
Leo...the trouble with them Richard Mason's they come as twins and don't like to be separated.
-
My Marlin 39 has problems too. It doesn't always release the next round from the magazine.

I know, I know. I would hate ta separate a pair so guess I'll have ta take a little more charity ta make things right.
Steel Horse has a M39 an seems ta love it. I always wanted one. It's a direct decendant of the rifle Annie Oakly shot in the show. I've only had one Marlin jam an it was a fluke. Have heard that Winchester ammo is supposed ta work better in tube mag levers. Somethin ta do with a difference in case shape.
-
I have two 1894 Marlins that I used for CAS. Never had a jam in either one.
Slim
-
I've never owned any Marlin's or shot any either. I've always heard good things about the larger caliber lever action rifles used in CAS.
-
I love all of mine don't have any inttentions on parting with them... Really like the 45-70 CB makes them Tree Rats dissappear

A 45-70 is too much gun for tree rats....unless you really want to make them "disappear". ;D
-
Vaporize them!
-
Same thing here, Slim. Or........one or more gets out. New mag spring, new cut off, still doing it. Using Rems, might have to see about some Winchester's. Wonder which flavor of Win. .22 is the right one?.............Buck 8) ::)
-
Try the Win .22 Thunderbolts.

they're just diseaced ridden vermin..
-
lever gun i use to make tree rats, sod poodles, chuck woods and bugs bunnies go away is my 99 Savage, the finest lever gun ever made. ;) Love my 99. Course mine is in 243 and them 70 gr vermint bullets goin' about 3400 fps really zap stuff. ;D
-
If ya don't wanna tear the tree rats up too much with the .45-70, ya can just bark 'em. ;)
Slim
-
Slim, I gotta a pellet gun for those tree rats for city shooting.
-
Some cities ya can't even use pellet guns. ::)
Slim
-
Slim, I gotta an 8 foot back yard fence and tall trees.
-
That might help to contain and conceal. ;)
Slim
-
Same here, can't but won't get caught. ;D
-
I'll leave them alone as long as they don't mess up my AC unit.
