I had one of my old Army buddies send me that a couple of weeks ago. It's still funny. Ol' Denny is definitely the Poster Boy for Gun Control.

Yessir! Was in a shootout with a barricaded suspect where one of our officers was shot by the suspect.

He was adjudged unfit to stand trial by reason of insanity. He was sentenced to the State Mental Hospital in Rusk, Texas. He never was tried for the offense and he died in the hospital. He was in his late 60s when he was sentenced. The officer made a complete recovery.

Well it's good that the officer come out OK. Guess ya never know what yer gettin into day ta day.

It happened at shift change, the day shift was ending. I was at the police station waiting for my unit to arrive for the evening shift.
