These are the guns that are working for me right now at my SASS matches.
Who else is shooting the Rem?
Adios,
I have a matched pair of 75s in .45 Colt that are my main match revolvers. I also have a nickle plated one with a 6.5" barrel with a spare cylinder for .45 ACP, it's my backup.
I have a brace of '75s in .45 Colt. One has a post front sight and the other has a blade front sight. I also have a NMA.
Nice Irons.......glad they started with the steel trigger guards, but when they fixed that, they went to the blade front sight! Don't know why they have such a hard time with things.....if they'd have left the post front and added the steel TG's, they'd have had a winner.......still, those are nice lookin' irons and for the price of one Hartford, you get a pair of pistols, leather, a case of ammo, new hat, a 12 pak, and a steak dinner at Saltgrass....not a bad deal when ya thunk on it! :)
Not to get into to much, but the line from HA about their gun not "being for everybody" leaves a bad taste in my mouth........kinda elitist in the extreme....oh well, there's way more of us "not everybody" folk than there is them with lots of cash and little brain matter! ;)
I'm aimin' ta pick up an 1875 Remmie at EOT in a few weeks. I'll let ya know how I like it then..... ;D
I too am looking to get a pair to backup my RVs. Anyone shooting the 5 1/2" 75's?
Big Hext,
Don't you know that you are going to get me in trouble by posting pictures like that?
Nice pistolas! Makes me want a pair!
;)
Nice Remingtons Hext. My pair of Remmies, I don't shoot them very often, are an EMF "Outlaw" in cal. 45 Colt matched with a Uberti '58 with 45 conversion cylinder. A picture of them can be seen on the SCORRS site. I like the Remingtons, I just have to many Vaqueros to bother shooting anything else. ::)
Thanks Danny,
I like mine a lot and they seem to like me back (at least they seem to be hitting what I point at.)
They are my first long barrelled pistol pair and the more I shoot them, the more I understand why long barrels ruled the roost way back when.
Adios,
I know what you're saying about the long barrels Hext. I prefer the longer barrels my self. My main shooters are Vaqueros in SS finish, with 7.5 inch barrels, in cal. 45 Colt. My Remmies are, of course, 7.5 inches for the model '75 and 8 inches on the '58. Of course I chose the 7 inch tube on the Schoefield I bought too.

Hext, I have one of the EMF 1875 Remington Outlaw Models with a 7.5 in barrel in 45LC. That's the only Remington I have.

I like the looks of the long barrels but I'm afraid my arms are a little too short without going to a buscadero drop holster... ::)
this is mine, and another one just like it in the workshop.
Alright. Picked up my new 1875. It's a .45LC from EMF. Shoots POA. Now I need a 2nd one!! ;D
