Title: Ruger's new .380 LCP
Post by: Capt. John Fitzgerald on April 05, 2008, 11:30:18 PM
Just picked up one of Ruger's new .380 LCP pocket pistols and it is one sweet little gun.  So far I have fed it Federal 90 gr. Hydra-Shock and some CorBon 70 gr. Pow'rBall and it has functioned perfectly.  I have even cycled empty shells through it and it feeds them without a hitch.
This is a great little back up gun that fits perfectly in the back pocket of your jeans.  Very similar to the Kel-Tec P3AT bit with a few subtle improvements and, of course, the Ruger name.  Perfect for those hot summer days when concealment is a problem.

As a back up gun I would recommend against the Corbon poweball and stick with the jacketed bullets.  My choice of ammo would have to be either the Buffalo Bore or the CorBon DPX.

Great looking gun, very compact and designed well.

Saw one at the Gun Shop the other day, setting right next to a kel-tek, had to look twice to tell 'em apart
