A few years back I put together a Christmas CD of various country artists.
This year I updated it with a few new songs, just love iTunes.
I call the CD 'Texmas'
The idea came from...
'When it's Christmas time in Texas' by George Strait
and
'Merry Texas Christmas, Y'all' by Asleep at the Wheel
One of the new additions this year is 'Two-Step 'Round The Christmas Tree' by Suzy Bogguss.
But I still love the classics as well like...
The Italian Christmas Donkey (http://members.shaw.ca/cybernana/funpage/dominick/dominick.htm) By Lou Monte

Get the first MMM Christmas Album, Cowboy Songs II and you can get Corn, Water and Wood plus MMM and Riders in the Sky doin' Cowboy Christmas Ball. ;)
In fact get that one and ya won't have to buy any other one, it's that durn good. Fact is I dig it out in July and play it on hot days, funny folks hear it and buy it then. Freaks out the chashiers when I sell 2-3 of them on a July Sat. ;)
Ain't dug out the John Prine one yet, but will give it a spin sometime yet at home.

The John Prine one has one called Christmas in Prison. Although I like his narrative about the year he got a divorce for Christmas, went out and bought an electric train since he hadn't had one when he was a kid. Nailed the track to the dining room table, just because he could. ;D A friend bought it for me for Christmas the year I was goin' through a divorce. ;)

Slim,
I still have the Gene Autry Christmas album LP. It is one of my favorites.
I also have a few 78 "albums"..ya'know...when there werer several records in an album. Bing's White Christmas with the Andrews Sisters is one of my favorites. Maybe I will crank on the Victrola tonight and give it a listen. :)

Just listened to Silent Night by Rich O'Brien, from one of my CD's here at work, wonderful acoustic gutar solo by one of the best. For folks who never heard of him he does a lot of studio work for the likes of Don Edwards and Waddy Mtichell.
