Title: Sharp Shooter side match???
Post by: Kayleen on August 15, 2007, 05:22:06 PM
As most know we can do a fair amount of different distance shooting here at the
Ackley, Iowa range.
My question to those of you that will be attending Muster is:
Do you want to do some long distance stuff? Say of the 600+ yards?
*** Remember we can get 1000Yds if you want.
What side matches are you interested in doing?
I need some ideas as this is your shoot.

Wouldn't even mind trying it with pistol (44-40?) cartridge rifles or handguns. Even if it is when all else has shut down for the day.

Would anyone be interested in shooting the September Postal Match as a side match at the Muster?  If so let me know how many will be shooting and I will print up the targets.

Long range can be shoot in several categories Milspec Battle rifle, Buffalo guns, and pistol caliber lever guns, and big bore lever guns.  Let me and Kayleen know and I am sure we can arrange it.

I'd like to do both, but I won't be there early enough Friday to do any shooting then. :P

Late friday night/ early Saturday morning. Not much you can probably do about it. It's about and 8 hr drive and I can' leave until after I drive the morning route & right now I'm planning on bringing my striker so can't leave until after he gets out of class.

Bristow Kid,
Since the banquet is going to be held at the range this year, perhaps we could have a couple hours after the main match, to do some long range shooting for those that cannot make it Friday.
I would like to give everyone the oppertunity to see what this range is like, as it sounds  there are new directions for it.

It would now appear that my striker will indeed be attending.  I haven't found out his class schedule yet, so don't know how soon we'll be able to leave Friday.

Kayleen I am will to let anyone shoot when ever they want to for long range and such.  So those late comers could shoot before the banquet and after the main matches.  I am flexible.

That would be great, Bristow Kid. I may not arrive 'til late Friday night, but at this time things are changing daily.  ::)
