Sadly, though the set still stands it is generally closed to the public. But I believe tours can be arranged.

When we visited the Alamo a few years ago we discovered that somebody had built a big city around it. As we toured the site the hair on the back of  my neck stood up. It is truly that kind of place. Every American should visit the Alamo.
