My favorites were the Sharps that Decker used, and the Thompson...But I didn't like the guy with the Thompson....
Me too, but I think the cop with the Thompson was a good guy...after he was on the receiving end of the Col.'s double.

Yep..the Col could't have picked a better target.
The first time I saw the movie was on video..yes...video, at home.  I had no clue who made the final shot..I was up from the chair screaming "who shoot???  who made that shot????"....The '73 certainly did a fine job there!

One I've just been reminded of:  "Lucky Lady"  1975,  Liza Minelli, Burt Reynolds, Gene Hackman.  Rum running on the high seas.  The Battle at the end alone is worth the price of admission.  (A magnificent round up of ocean going Ner-do-wells to inspire y'all) but Liza's singing is damn fine as well.  And she does look good in those flapper outfits.  Some great Lewis Gun footage too!

Also Thoroughly Modern Millie.

You might notice I don't take most movies very seriously.

A series on Netflix called "Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries" set in 1920s Australia is a really fun series.
Also, just watched "The Highwaymen" and while I despise Woody Harrelson, the movie itself is good!

Has this morphed, from favorite Zoot era movies? .... to just a list of zoot era ?

If so then I offer my contribution, I was involved in production of "OSCAR" Sylvester Stallone comedy.
In fact it is funny story how I was involved.... (if anyone cared to know)  ::)

Oh, yes. I want to know. I see that that film received three prestigious awards (Razzies), so you know it's good...  ;)

I'm not a Zoot Shooter, but I do like movies. Well, some movies.

Since nobody else has mentioned it, Johnny Dangerously. Michael Keaton, Joe Piscapo, Danny Devito, and Marylu Henner.

"You shouldn't have hung me on a coathook. My Father hung me on a coathook once... Just once!"

What that the one with the Joe Piscopo quote something like "My Mom hung me on a Hook......   Once."

Ha, had time to look it up (Johnnie Dangerously):

Danny Vermin : You shouldn't hang me on a hook, Johnny. My father hung me on a hook once. Once!

Danny Vermin : You shouldn't grab me, Johnny. My mother grabbed me once... ONCE!

Danny Vermin : [to Mrs. Kelly]  You shouldn't kick me in the balls, lady. My sister kicked me in the balls once...

Danny Vermin : You shouldn't have shot me, Johnny. My grandmother shot me once...

Dang its' like a series...

"The Newton Boys" was worthy of adding to the list.

Miller’s Crossing has a great Thompson bit in it.
