The Division of Missouri Muster is set for the 4th Sunday in March, 24-MAR-2019. Shooters meeting 0930, Firing commences at 1000.
$30 shoot fee, all GAF classes honored. Chili, crackers and coffee on site. Rain or shine!
3 Skirmish runs, and a "Mad Minute" rifle match.
Average daytime temp 60 degrees. Directions found here: http://copsrange.com/direct.htm
We're right next door to Ft Leonard Wood, plenty of accommodations in the area. The base has an excellent museum, though closed on sunday. This is the off season, local accommodations are VERY reasonable. The range is also not far from one of the best preserved sections of old Route 66, including Devils Elbow, and Hookers Cut.

I've got it on my calendar!
-
I'll be there.

With all due respect Colonel------Dammit!!!! I just realized that is NCOWS Convention weekend in Davenport IA. I really enjoyed the trip down south, the shoot and the camaraderie last year.
Major B.N. Scotty
-
Bet they don't crank windows at the NCOWS convention.
-
It is Iowa Sir!
-
That sucks that you won't be there Scotty, but I'll have a good enough time for both of us.
-
GRRR!
I just found out that it's the same weekend as a family deal that I have to help with. :'(
-
The 3 skirmish runs have been written. Be advised you will be making a mounted charge with sword in hand. (one will be provided if need be) You will also see the elephant. And shoot it. A (faux) machine gun will be in use, pop bottles will be made to explode, and there is a possibility of a small breech loading artillery piece. (should I get a carriage figgered out).
Minimum ammunition requirement shall be 15 handgun and 42 rifle. I would bring at least double. Be sure you can hit a 2 liter soda bottle at 10 paces with your handgun, or you may need a LOT more handgun ammo.
Don't forget the Mad Minute rifle match.
A Precision pistol and rifle target will be integrated into 2 of the skirmish runs. Scoring will be 19th century "String" scoring. The score is the sum of the distance from the point of aim of all shots. IE, if aiming at an X on a piece of cardboard, if 3 shots each landed 10mm from the X, your score is 30. Know where your weapons point of impact is!
Don't this sound better than some old convention or family "deal"? HA! (Dammit Czech, not your board!)
And boy did I find a great post Christmas sale on stick animals at Aldi's!
-
Colonel Sir
I'll be there. Sounds like a challenging course again this ye

It certainly does, but I still can't get out of it :'(

Come on GAF members, sign up for this shoot if you're able. Col Drydock puts on a hell of a great shoot.

That link didn't work for me, nor the SASS-listed version with an "s" after shooter. Any alternate web page?

Not sure what's up with our website, but you can find directions here:
http://copsrange.com/direct.htm
We use the same range, we use the bays all the way at the back, bay 7 and 8.
-
Updated the directions link.
-
I'm planning on it
-
Got my room reserved for the shoot. See you all in around a month.
-
Hi
Dammit, can't go. I have to run a CMP Sporter Match that day.
Later
-
I have my motel reservations made I'll be there.
-
I'll be at the NCOWS Convention that weekend, but part of me will be thinking about Drydock, Quickfire and Whisky Double (order of rank) sittin around the campfire and drinkin whiskey (or the Navy guy's rum) in the motel parking lot.
-
And the match will be great too. You will be missed Scotty, as you are always entertaining not to mention a damn good friend
-
Scotty, you forgot to mention......... and smoking fine cigars :-) .
You will be missed, the camaraderie is just as much or more important than the shooting.
-
Sorry Ken, I didn't realize there was such a thing as a "fine " cigar. Kind of all smell like a horse stall bedding burning to me, but you and Quickfire, please enjoy!
-
Scotty me lad, you just haven't a taste for the finer things in life
-
Wine, women and song? Hookers and blow? I don't know.
That sh*t rhymes Quickfire! (poetry, another one of the finer things in life!)
-
Will the pistol targets be knocked down or just hits? Thinking about shooting a .38
-
All my targets will be ringers, except for the occasional soda bottle.
