Looking for Supplies

Howdy pards,

I have a friend that is making me a duffle bag for travel. We have ran into a problem find the hardware. What we find on E-Bay seems to be lots of at least 100. I was wonder if anyone had a source for or some extra that they would be willing to sell me.

(2) 1-1/2" D-rings
(6) 1-1/2" Square-rings
(16) Sets of 10mm double cap rivets
(8) Sets of 13mm double cap rivets
(1) Pack of line 24 snaps
(2) 1-1/2" D-head inside lobster swivel clasps clips
(1) 1-1/2" wide slider strap adjuster
(8) Sets of 6mm metal eyelets (inside diameter 1/4", outside 7/16")

Try any of the fabric shops locally - you'll be surprised at what they stock.

Going to be one of my stops tomorrow or as soon as I can get out, fighting a migraine. I also know that there are some big shops in San Fransisco and Sacramento that I can try.

A decent farm-supply or tack store should have all that on hand.  The one I checked on the way home had everything except the rivets (short about half in each size).

Thanks for the tip, I need to change my signature I am now in California, I need to think where to find a farm-supply store. The friend that is doing the sewing is in Wisconsin and I am sure they have them there

Folks from California always claim they have farms. . . somewhere.  There's lots of horse-people out there, so there has to be a tack shop somewhere--maybe try calling up a boarding barn?

(I'd give you the usual dose of harassment about living out on the Left Coast, but it is about 5 degrees out with 25 mph winds.  Not sure if I'm "too cold to care" or jealous of temps above freezing!)

LongWalker,

I am here regrouping after a divorce and bounce back relationship, also checking in on my parents who I have not seen in 8-9 years. Getting out of CA is on my agenda for this year. I am researching where I want to live.

Currently 48 degees and Dense Fog, I can not see my truck from the doorway, maybe 25 feet away.

A new friend owns a horse so I am sure she will know where a tack shop is.

There you go.  If that doesn't work out to find what you need, check with a large-animal vet.  They should know who has the stuff locally.

My local hardware stores and farm supply places are pretty useless... which is why I love my internet ;)
