SASS ROI & ROII Class on January 30, 2016 in Woodstock IL

For GAF Shooters who also shoot SASS

Dangerous Denny (SASS Regulator #27228) and Shamrock SASS Life #56840 will be offering the SASS Range Officer Courses at the Dorr Township Building at 1039 Lake Ave, Woodstock IL 60098 on Saturday January 30, 2016. The classes will be held from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM. Both RO1 and RO2 classes will offered.

Please let us know if you plan to attend so we can make appropriate arrangements. Anyone who has completed the class and just wishes to "sit in" for review is welcome at no cost.
Please also bring:
•   Paper to write on, and pencil or pen.

Before the course, please review your SASS Shooter's Handbook and your ROI & ROII Course Manual.
No guns or gear are required. Because the course will be held in a government building, no concealed carry is allowed. Cowboy dress encouraged but not required. Please dress for comfort. Please arrive no later than 7:30 AM for the ROI and 12:30 PM for the ROII

Requirements SASS Range Operations Safety Course (ROI)
SASS requires the following for all participants in the ROI courses. 1. There is NO requirement to be a SASS Member. 2. Payment of a $10 training fee, paid on the day of the class.

Requirements: SASS Range Officer Level II (ROII)
SASS requires the following for all participants in the ROII courses. 1. Must be a SASS Member. 2. Must have completed SASS Range Operations Basic Safety Course (ROI). 3. Must have actively participated in Cowboy Action Shooting™ matches for a minimum period of six months. SASS Range Officer
Instructors are required to verify minimum length of time the student has been an active Cowboy Action Shooter. 4. Payment of training fee - $25.

 Students must pay on the day of the class. Official Certification of Completion: Upon receipt of registration fees, completed test, and trainer confirmation, SASS will issue an official certification of completion certificate and pin directly to the member.

The Dorr Township Building is located near the intersection of Lake Ave and Hwy 47. There are a number of restaurants and fast food places nearby for a quick lunch or breakfast beforehand. Please contact me with any questions or to register., etc. at 217-722-8512 or shamrockgannon@live.com

Thank you for getting this lined up Colonel (Ret.)

I believe that it is very important that the GAF have as many certified RO's as possible. With that in mind several of us took the NRA RSO class under GAF member Terry Lane in late October.

I would also like to encourage as many GAF members as possible to attend the class Shamrock has lined up.
