Greetings 1st. Sgt.

I asked for similar info here some time back.  I was politely steered away from Dirty Billy's hats.  Instead I was guided to    http://www.quartermastershop.com/1872_and_on_us_enlisted/iwp_forage_cap.html

I have never done business with Billy's so cannot speak first hand pro or con....just passing on to you that which was given to me.

Did have a great Christmas and glad that you did too.  Hope everyone had a good one.

All the best,

I have a couple of his hats.  I can tell you he is an absolute master of  his trade.  I can also tell you he is a cast iron SOB to deal with.  You'll get it, eventualy, and it will be perfect, but it will be done on his schedule, and don't you dare complain!  He does not give a damn about schedules, or promises, and evidently has enough customers lined up in waiting that he does not give a damn about losing any of them.

But OH! dammit the hats are perfect!  I'd say order one, then get one from someone else while you wait.  Heck, Just forget about it, so it'll be a pleasant surprise when it eventualy shows up . . .
Civilize them with a Krag . . .

My 1875 US Marine Corps shako, pill box and kepi are absolutely authentic. He is a typical master craftsman so he works on his own schedule and "don't take NO c--p from anyone"!   :-)

The Marine Corps Historical Center and Museum uses him. That's the highest of all compliments!

I can personally attricute to this. He delivered a hat months later than promised, about $40 more then promised, and an entire numbered size too small>:( When i returned it, he looked up my personal phone number and left a voice mail stating for me never to order from him again.
I wouldn't take a leak on his building if it were on fire and his children were inside. Seriously, they're the absolute worst customer service I've encountered anywhere...
...and I've bought stuff from French people!
