Works for me.

A bayonet length on a rifle-musket infantry line advance will also work if you don't have a spear.

How's this?

Lookin' good, Slim.
RattlesnakeJack, for some reason your images aren't showing. All I'm seeing are little blue boxes with question marks inside.
Unless that is what you actually posted, in which case, tres' mysterieux' . . . .

Could not see your image RattlesnakeJack.

My Dearest John: use your mouse and 'right click' on the little box, then scroll down on the pop-up box and click on 'view image' and you should be able to see Jacks' posted image. Or not, eh?

RCJ, my original post incorporated a link to the image in my photobucket account, and sometimes there can be "connectivity issues" which prevent the image from being displayed via the link, which is likely what was happening when you looked.
I have now amended my post to use the "Attachment" function also available here, so you should be able to see it now.
I still prefer to use links to images in my own image-hosting account, despite the occasional hiccups that mey produce, because I find the "onsite" method to be too much od a PITA .... i.e. you have to ensure that each image is within the 400KB size limit, can only include a maximum of four attachments per post (a real disadvantage in the overly-wordy, extensively illustrated "dissertations" for which I am undoubtedly infamous ...

HOWEVER ...

There?s also the British Square to keep unwanted socialites away.

If you get wet, you are too close.

I just need a length of ash for my spear. Spartan Phalanx for me.
Long week, these made my day.

I appreciate the humor, things are going overboard. I am over 60 & diabetic, I work in a hospital, my job doesn?t allow for work at home. Illustration on how bad things are, I brought donuts to the shop this AM, all appreciated it, but I got chewed out, for no uncovered food is allowed. Although I do agree, error towards safety, things are getting nuts.
My own humor, it isn?t Chinese, it is Mexican, would love to have a tee shirt with a bunch of empty Corona beer bottles in the sand, with I Survived the Corona Virus!

I have heart problems to boot, but getting better, I got basically field dressed in December, I'm cautious but not totally bunkered in. Of course I don't have to go to work anymore, damned glad because the first person to go off on me about lack of toilet paper would probably end up with me in jail.

What is this "right click" you speak of, Kemosabe?

p.s. I am in self-imposed isolation with the wife, due to her hip replacement surgery and recovery. The ONLY place we go is to PT three times a week.
Oddly enough, I had stocked up on basic household needs prior to the pandemic in anticipation of our forced seclusion.

They've canceled all my rehab. Just like Arlo I'm having to rehabilitate myself. ::)

Ours is still open, but if push comes to shove and all facilities are called upon to take the overflow of patients not needing ventilators, etc., then it may be cancelled. Every day is a wait and see . . . .

Things too carzey, kicked out as a Volunteer at VA, UIHC, did the same. Offered to Volunteer for my department, they also said no. So offered to deliver meals from a local pantry. Wait & see.
Well crap, better keep contacts to minimum. A department I visited a few times last week is closed for 2 days of cleaning. 3 patients visited the area, later tested positive.
Worse then realized, the 3 Covid positives were not patients, they were sonographers! So more likely exposed.
Holy crap! Just got off phone with employee health, temp up 3.2, pulse ox down 4, they told me to work as normal tomorrow. Called my supervisor, & we are in agreement, based upon them, come in & wear a mask. My supervisors & I agree, don?t come in.
