Hot & humid 91° with 25% chance of rain. Typical fall in Bugville, Gunshine State USA.

Beats inland waterfront property , damage & a new boat though !
I feel bad for those poor soles.

Just finished up the last vine riped tomato from summer. Still have a couple green ones they may ripen, but will probably fry them.

?? Mine are still producing, and will probably continue until first frost, probably sometime mid October. They started producing really late this year, didn't get any until sometime in August.

August was dry here. Unless you irragated them.

M2 fried green tomatoes on burgers or my favorite, ‘po-boys.

Suppose to go with church group tomorrow evening to Top of the River for catfish.

Parts of Missouri were in drought this summer, some still are. Not so much where I live, except late June-early July. 'Maters still got watered some, though.

I'll stir up the fire.

Currently 35 and raining, likely turn to white stuff by morning.   I have a friend who works for campus security who is out doing rounds until 2am. Currently 23:30.

My classes were cancelled today.  Both of them.  I didn't learn that my 8:30 psychology class was cancelled until 8:32. After two cups of coffee and a button brisk walk around the block to wake up.  >:(
And my flying spot was cancelled for weather.  So I sat around and was a useless blob all day.

They used to try and feed those fried green mater's, I just clamped up and wouldn't open my mouth after the first bit.

Rita had never had them, looked up a recipe and made them, even tried them again.  Just as nasty as when I was a kid, worse than fried egg plant, she didn't like them either and neither did the dog.

Spill Czech seems to be working now.

I'm that way about okra ….

dip it in buttermilk, roll it in corn meal & flour , fry it in butter, and throw it the hell out ! is best !  :P

Local place in town " The Catfish Place " is the only place I know in these parts for fried green tomato's ….
I knew Steve Johnson (owner) 30 years till he passed, now his son carries it on.
In S. Carolina, you can get good FGT most anywhere , not so in yankeefied  Florida.
But you can get NY pizza, Chicago pan pizza, NY bagels , Buffalo wings , Philly Steak , cheesy fries most everywhere.

Afternoon all.

Currently 39, as of noon.  I went out last night to a disk golf park about ten miles out of town to have a pipe and call home, and in the hour I was there frost built up on the windshield.  But none of that evil white stuff came from the sky, so I guess there's that.

I'm supposed to fly today, but weather isn't looking promising.
