Trail Rider holster
« on: March 17, 2020, 08:21:19 PM »
Howdy, I am fairly new here and am interested  in a holster by Trail Rider. It is the 1883 Cheyenne holster antique brown.  I will be using it for a 5 1/2 SAA. Anyone have one and can post pictures of it  And let me know the pros and cons. Looking for a pistol holster that will set above the hip by my waist and the grip above the belt. I have seen his website  and impressed with the 1883 Cheyenne, and would like to know what you all think. Thanks for any and all info you can give me. Regards fellas

Howdy RockingR,
I have no personal experience with Trailrider's leather, but I have always heard good reports.  I've met him, very nice guy, always trying to be helpful.  That design is authentic old west style, and he has been making leather for a looong time.

All I've heard about Trail Rider's work has been good. You should be pleased with that holster.

Hi Major, I got one of those that I shoot from, it was built for a 7 and a half inch SAA, but the Schofield works in it also.  I had a discussion with Trailrider about which holster to get.  I didn't like the idea of competing with a left handed cross draw holster when I'm right handed.  He suggested the Miller-Fechet.  I like the dang holster better than I like the SAA.  Hate the grip.

Howdy, Pards!
If you have mailed a request for a catalog to the PO BOX, I may not get it for a while, as I am sticking pretty close to home (NOT sick, just careful!), and am staying away from my PO BOX station. Best is to email me at trailrdr@ecentral.com, and I'll send the catalog out by USPS, no charge.
Wash hands thoroughly!
Godspeed to all!
Trailrider
