Rafe and Rico projects.
« on: January 19, 2020, 09:05:43 AM »
Thought I would do a topic on my new leather builds in the leather shop. Did my artsy fartsy work a while back but this week I?m going to get working on a Rico Fardan piteado belt and a Rafe Covington 1876 rifle buttstock shell carrier. Picked up some material yesterday at the nice Tandy Leather in Raleigh. Here?s my artwork for the piteado, needed to be horse themed so I thought I would use the early stylized Rampant Colt trademark. I think I?ve got an early OP in my safe with this style stamp.

That rampant colt is a fine one. I look forward to seeing your execution of it on that belt. You'll be quite ready for a Lee Marvin 'Professionals' outfit, then.

Looks good. Nice job.

I think that rifle has a part or two missing, though.  ;D

That was their attempt at a quieter, hammerless model ::)
