Anyone have a .44 Special chamber reamer?
« on: October 26, 2019, 08:07:20 PM »
My Richards Mason is an early one with a .44 Colt cylinder. My 1872 also takes .44 Special.  I was thinking of bumping the R-M to .44 Special also.  I have lots of .44 Russian and Colt brass (more than 600 of each), but I also have several hundred rounds of .44 Special Cowboy ammo.

has anyone done this?  Cant be much to ream that last little bit.  The .44 Special ammo almost fits in the R-M...

I reamed several at Cimarron some lustra ago.  They USED to have the reamer at a workbench, and they USED to do it for free if your gun is a Cimarron and you send in the cylinder.  Don't know if that is still the case.  It was pretty easy, only reaming about 1/4".  Doing 6 holes did tire out my wrist a bit.  :)
