Does anyone know of a source for one or for an accurate replica?

I think places like Alanta Cutlery carry them, but I don't know what the quality is like.  You might look at pawn shops around Marine bases.  A lot of them have websites now.

What kind of replica?  Do you want a full-sized sword or a scale replica?  Will you be wearing it or will it be a wall-hanger?

I've seen replicas, including Atlanta Cutlery, but NONE of them look even close to a real NCO sword.  I agree that you would

off purchasing a used sword if you can find one.

I suspected as much with the quality.  I've seen places that carry Marine Officer's Mamalukes, but they look pretty crappy compared to my real one.

Well there are quality swords and then again there's QUALITY SWORDS.

My son was stationed in Rota, Spain when he was promoted to the NCO ranks.

He had his NCO sword made by one of the ancient Toledo, Spain sword makers.  I know it cost more than the official variety but not that much more and you can't tell it from the rest until you look close and find that it's a personalized work of art.

will tell you the whole deal and who is licensed to sell "Official" Swords not to be confused with a replica.

Mine is from Atlanta Cutlery and is as good as any I've seen.  Look for them on sale from the AC online catalog.

Just a note of caution... two notes, actually... look at the shape of the guard. Some are way too round and look "unbalanced" and awkward.  Also check the size of the tang.  I've seen some that are very skinny and not all that sturdy.

Even a Marine Corps wall hanger should be Marine Corps tough.

Semper fi.

Looks like the Atlanta sword and is about the same price.  Atlanta did a better job on fitting the metal to the leather on the scabbard.

I got mine at the Marine Corps Exchange at Quantico (SNCO Acad.) in 1986.  I think it cost me about $350 back then.
