I've tried several times to order things on backorder. I think if they don't have something in stock, they don't keep your name for very long...

I ordered a few items from them back in March.  I'll never do that again. I ordered a set of spurs, spur straps and a holster for a Schofield.  First off, it took over a MONTH before they got around to charging my debit card.  Ended up with a $35.00 overdraft fee on that deal.  When I finally got the order, a) my Schofiled wouldn't fit in the holster - it was a tad too small, b) the spurs were made in Pakistan (and looked like they were made in Pakistan) and through the packaging you could see that the brass where the spur strap went through was broken, and c) I didn't need the spur straps because the spurs came with them even though the web site led you to believe you needed to purchase them separately.  On top of that, the packing material was nothing more then a 12" square sheet of bubble wrap.  Didn't instill me with any confidence in this company.  I sent everything back and it took ANOTHER month before they credited my account.

Colonel Buckshot, if you're looking for a Fairweather Christian belt, try Carrico's Leatherworks http://www.carricoleather.com/.

UShist.com has a cool website, but most of their products are in fact made in Pakistan.  That isnt to say you cant find something that will work for you, but just be careful.

Did you put it on a credit card? If so, call your card company and talk to the rep.

BBB can't do anything other than flag the business with a complaint for anyone who asks, but who'd call the BB in that area before ordering anyway?

I will concur with my esteemed colleagues.  Carrico is top notch.  You call or email them and tell them what you want and they make it for you.  Mike is good people.

On the other hand, if you don't call the better business bureau then the next guy who orders from them has nothing more to go on than you have and gets the shaft just like you did.

This saga sounds so familiar to me; I decided not to order from them some time ago.  I also agree about the quality about the Carrico leather...every piece of leather that I have seen from them has been top notch.

I would also say that I am sure that "one of our own", specifically Trailrider has some mighty fine leather and is very reliable.  http://www.gunfighter.com/trailrider/tr_holster.html  I am almost positive that he could make whatever you needed.

Yeah I know it is a shameless plug of a good pard...but I don't care.

Another good option is Wolf Ears Equipment:  http://www.wolfearsequipment.com/.  They make some really nice stuff too.

I'll give another plug for Trailrider.  His stuff is thoroughly researched and very reasonably priced.
