Recommended .44 Magnum loads for a Win 94
« on: May 24, 2015, 05:03:03 AM »
I am trying to get back into the swing of things and the only rifle I have right now is a Winchester 94 Trapper in .44 Magnum, which I discovered is not .44 Special friendly, so I am trying to find a brand of cowboy load that will work in my rifle.  I do not reload (yet) so I am looking for a factory load at this time that would work for CAS/SASS without the persistent loading problems of the Specials I have tried; any suggestions would be great!

At what loaded ammo costs, it wont take too many rounds to justify reloading.

Well, the goal is to get conversion cylinders for my '51 Colts and '58 Remmies and pick up a .45 LC rifle with 20" or 24" barrel and tangent sight.  I found a decent deal on a SxS shotgun, but I still need to get the things to make reloading shotgun shells with BP.
