Hey Jerry, y'know when I helped you out with the cannon, you offered to return the favor someday.

Would look good on the irrigation canal, ya think?
-
I never thought of that! Think of the skirmish run we could do with that thing!
-
Would that be the first time the Navy floated in Nebraska???
-
I don't know about that, but we've got a whole lot of admirals...........
-
You'll have to change the name to GNF, Grand Navy of the Frontier?
-
I don't know about Naval campaigns in Nebraska ... but who remembers the amphibious action during the 2007 National Muster in Iowa? ;D

(I gather they also had this at the 2006 Muster there, but I had to miss that one ...)

Impressive! I had no idea!
-
Yes ... it was fun! All the shooting was done offhand from the deck on gongs along the far bank.
The chap I was with there at the prow was an ex-Marine and joked that this was the first time he had ever done any shooting from a watercraft!
-
To my knowledge that stage idea was never repeated.
That Muster was unique!

And just one more ... which could be captioned: "Smoke 'em if ya' got 'em ..."

(I was digging for a light when that one was taken ... ::) )

Used to be a SASS annual match in Missouri that featured a similar stage. It was similar to a GAF stage, because it was "engage all the targets with whatever gun you wish". I expect Drydock has shot there too. I was shooting BP, with 2 1860s, a '66 carbine, and double barrel shotgun. When the pistols were empty, I commenced firing with the '66-until the carrier block jammed after about 4-5 rounds. After that, I can assure you that a double barrel Stevens 311 gets REALLY hot with extensive BP shooting.

would it sail up Jerry's ditch? If so how long to install drawbridge in lieu of current bridge??
