I bought it in 1981 at the 118th. Gettysburg from a Suttler
He had just turned down a trade for S&W Mod 1 1/2 in nice cond., together with an 1860 with no remaining finish and light pitting,
matching numbers except the wedge, otherwise functioning.
My buddy had offered him the trade, but the Suttler wanted cash.
I asked my friend if he minded, if I made an offer, he said "go for it one of us should have it ! "
It has all matching numbers.
The timing is a bit off due to wear of the hand , if you cock it smartly it will lock in otherwise it under rotates and the bolt does not
engage completely.
Here is the other side in the case I made for it... you can just make out the faint inspector's cartouche in the grip.
I must also say the first photo (one of several) was taken by the Veteran's Tribute & Museum of Osceola
when I had it was on display for while.
