Last weekend - report - escaped DC for some shooting

Well the North koreans keep messing up my sked - but with my supervisor's help I was able to escape DC to go down to Roanoke VA for the VA State match.

I wore my USRCS uniform and was able to place 2nd in frontier Cartridge.

Wearing the Dahlgren short sword/naval bayonet made movement much easier than the trusty cutlass.

Here are some pics - had to substitute period correct naval shoulder boards for USRCS ones - I continue to endeavor to get those made.

Col Sir, the rifle is actually a wolf in sheeps clothing.

It is a converted Martini-henry that I use for 12 guage shot5gun!!

it is slow but quite a hoot to shoot and a crowd pleaser!!
