Evening all.

Had a high of 75 today, all the smoke from California was blocking the sun.

I have an interview for a position with Autozone as a cashier/ inter store delivery driver. Pays $11/ hr, so I won’t get rich, but it’s money.

I did know that about the foil/plastic wrap.

Also, a question for the cosies.

I’m making some hard tack out of boredom.  I’m thinking I might try putting a piece in the slow cooker tomorrow with some chicken. Will it be more like a dumpling, or should I expect it to dissolve after that much time and act more like a thickener?

I'm not a Cosie, but I do cook.

I'm pretty sure you'd have better success if you made it out of flour.

Speaking of cooking, today was render tomatoes down into sauce for refrigerating day.

The majority of the crop all decided to ripen at once this past week, so into the spaghetti pot they went this morning with garlic and herbs. Simmered 6 hours.
Started off with 5 gals. of fruit and finished up with 1 1/2 gals. sauce.

I've been making salsa but I'm about to have enough of that and just start making tomato sauce. Fortunately, I think I've got enough canning lids to finish out the year. It seems like they've become the new toilet paper (or 9mm/5.56 ammo, primers, or who knows what's next). Sure, they're available on E-bay- if you don't mind paying nearly A DOLLAR A PIECE!!! I even saw somebody listed "once used" canning lids!

Evening all.

Classes went by well enough today. In cooking world, I made chicken in the slow cooker and it turned out well.

Interview at AutoZone went well. I ended up landing the job. So I guess that’s a good thing.

Roo, that's my problem, I like everything.

Pasta, pizza, chili . . .

Congratulations Trinity. It's nice to know somebody needs your skills and money is coming in.

Thanks for the coffee.

Bat was flying around in the house last night. Broke the broom and last the bat.  :(
