Mornin', everyone. Coffee and water are on the stove. Scrambled eggs for breakfast. Wife picked up 4 doz farm eggs yesterday from one of her Philippine friends. Haven't raised any fresh eggs here for a couple of years, got tired of feeding chickens to the coons. >:(

67 and partly cloudy today. Did my mowing yesterday and went fishing. More rain chances all week long. Some flooding around Des Moines and South. Time for a second cup.
All growed up and still playin' Cowboy!

Some unscheduled thunderstorms came though yesterday just as I was getting ready to throw the steaks on the Barbie.   (The steaks were great)  The thing was there was very little rain, but lots of thunder and lightning.  Luckily there didn’t seem to be any lightning generated fires this morning.  The one lightning sparked fire south of us is still only about 37% contained and has covered over 17,000 acres.

I got up at first light to water Moose's flowers in and on the Patio. I went back in and took a long nap. I zapped a couple of sausage biscuits for a late breakfast. Time for another nap.

I found a French bread pepperoni pizza in the freezer and I zapped it in the microwave. I had a Corona to wash it Down. I went to bed and slept till 0230, had a plumbing check and let Victoria out for her plumbing check. I'm going to try and go back to sleep.

Major 2,

Your weather is just starting to roll in to my area.
I am hoping the worst of it will hold off until about 3 pm.
That will help cool things off for this evening.
My best,

Rain showers here again today. In a dry spot at the moment ::)We at least got the checks done and a couple street lights fixed before it started up. PB sands for lunch. Looking at some inexpensive steaks and baked taters for supper. Probably have to grill'em between the rain drops though ::)

Yeah, I'm worried about losing teeth trumpet wise. So far its just been molars in the back :o :o ::)

I got back about 3 pm, Slim left about 7 am and should be getting close to home about now.

Got lots of pictures to work on, We put Scruffy Skippy's on my card so I could work on them.

We gave Stu a good send off yeasterday about 3.  He is now at Camp Pitspiter for all time.     :'(

More on that later, but for now, his wife, his kids and grandkids, plus a nephew were there.

went to the toy store yesterday and picked up my new (to me) Karh K-9 and today got to shoot it at a friends range,I do believe I'm going to like this as an EDC pistol. A lot lighter than my 1911 or Hi-Power and can carry up to 9 rounds of 9mm 115 JHP +P ammo,Looks like this...

Very nice.

Got home about and hour ago. Drove thru some heavy rain around La Crosse. Picked up some needed groceries at the Tomah Wally World.
'Twas a good send off for Stu.

I'm going ta bed.

OK, some pictures of Stu's send off.  Part are mine, part are Scruffy Skippy's.

Steve's Family eating the lunch my helpers and I prepared, meat loaf, baked mac and cheese, bread and cobbler, one of his favorites.

And some of them waiting, his wife, Mom and Dad, his kids, grandkids and a nephew attended.

Jerry put on a new flage and put it at half mast.

Jerry and Larry Little (chaplin)

Steve's ashes being fired over camp by one of 4 mortors.

Jerry presenting our old flag to Lorrie.

The old flag on a happier evening.

And this is hanging in the cabin.
