Received the proper screw set for the Marbles's tang sight and a .515 sizer die from Buffalo Arms this morning, so mounted the sight, and then wandered back through the .50-95 load sticky and settled on some test rounds, all featuring the Accurate 51-350 CL bullet sized .515 and lubed with an SPG clone.
Two rounds of 18 grains Trail Boss -- in Starline .50 Alaskan cases with cartridge heads sanded down to remove stampings. (Was worried the regular rims would be too thick -- but apparently not.)
Five rounds of 72 grains by volume Triple Seven FFFg, bullets powder coated, then sized and lubed.
Five rounds 75 grains Old Eynesford FFg drop-tubed.
Ten rounds 33 grains AA 5744.
The latter 20 loaded with WLRM primers.
Should be interesting. I'll bring the chronograph on a later range session.
