Upcoming Musters / Division of Illinois Muster, 29 June 2024
« Last post by LT Col Long on Today at 08:14:00 AM »

Well I guess that I had better get to it and quit procrastinating.  Here goes, the Division of Illinois Muster will take place 29 June 2024 (I know right in the middle of the Grand Muster!!). The Good Guys Posse BOD voted to for me to hold the muster on that date.  I am not without blame as I am the sec/treasurer of the posse. That all said the muster will take place at Dry Gulch Ranch outside of Winnebago, IL. The address is 10573 Telegraph road, Winnebago, IL.
We do have an interesting match planned which includes the Gatlin Gun, the old 2x4, speed pistol, 14 target stage, a 10 target stage and a 5 to make 3 rifle match. This is a cowboy action range so I have to get inventive.
I finally posted so you all can let me have it!!

Thank you for your recommendation and detailed information about hand priming tools. I will be sure to contact Buffalo Arms in Ponderay, NV at 208-263-6953 to inquire about compatible options. Thank you for your insight and I will keep you updated on my progress if I make contact.

      Greetings!

I'm surprised that Brasso wouldn't remove that; Flitz might be worth a try. I would NOT use sand paper!!.

            Keep Us posted!

Midway has nickel plated Starline.32-20 brass.

And 19 hours later, surprisingly, they still have it.  It is 30% more expensive than unplated brass.  I ordered 500 just because.  I will load my BP rounds in nickle.  And they have free shipping right now on $99+.

STORM / 1866 uberti stains on brass receiver
« Last post by Tayhitman44 on Yesterday at 09:32:37 PM »
Bought this rifle used for a good price but it has these weird stains I’d like to remove and some scratches. Tried brasso and it did nothing unfortunately. Should I try another polish or maybe sandpaper? Can I let it patina as is?
Thanks in advance!

 :) Well Heck Abilene  ;)

Maybe and perhaps you have just dodged a bullet (so to speak).  Would be a major bummer to meet and greet to final the sale and THEN get the bad news about the caliber and price hike.  Nice the seller is willing to honor the original price, but in light of the fact the guns would be "surplus to requirements" as soon as you got them home, better if fall apart now.  Also important, when your laying out copious amounts of folding green, you get exactly what you want.

Checking Starline, 32/20 is Out of Stock /No Backorders at this time.
I think they just did a run a short time back, no clue when they will start production again.
