Coal Creek Griff:
Tip for removing carrier and lever screws.
Pettifogger:
I have removed LOTS of those screws and none of them came out that easy.
Abilene:

Plus One for HORSEPUCKY!! Plus, without some form of PADDED SUPPORT, He was working on the rifle ONE HANDED. It also appears the rear spring boss has been fit to the frame in advance of his demonstration. Snake Oil says I.
Cliff Fendley:
I too am calling BS on that way working if that was a new rifle.
However I have taken a piece of leather to protect the finish and squeezed the springs with vice grips to take the bind off of the screw and they come out pretty easy that way.
Generally impact driver and hammer is the quick easy way without damaging anything.
