I like the balance on the 5 1/2 length, I'm only 5'7" and the extra couple of inches means closer to that arm pit draw.... ;D

The longer the better.

I have been told several times that shorter barrels are "easier to see and get a bead on", but, this has never been my case.

I shoot 6 1/2" vs.  4 1/2" <cough>Rugers<cough>  much more consistently than I thought I would.

The extra weight makes a REAL difference. (until I discovered TrailBoss...but, the weight still helps with BP)
