Pony Racer:

Thank you for your service!  Are you on coastal cleanup?
Do they assign you to working with CG?

We have a flight crew there now moving equipment as needed.

Take care,
MG

Thanks, again, for your service and that of everyone else on active duty and those who served in the past!  Have a Happy, Safe Fourth!

Oh, and BTW, I hear they have a new receipe for fried shrimp down there...just throw some gulf coast shrimp in a deep fryer, and ignite! The shrimp supply their own oil::)  I know it's no joke to the folks down there, but I just couldn't resist.  Got a new name for the acronymn "BP":  Stands for "Bloody P--sed!"

Your obdt servant,
Ride to the sound of the guns, but watch out for bushwhackers! Godspeed to all in harm's way in the defense of Freedom! God Bless America!

Your obedient servant,
Trailrider,

Dept. of the Platte, GAF

I have the honor to announce the temporary promotion of Pony Racer to Commander (acting) commanding the Division of Louisiana. This command will last through out his deployment in the Bayou State. It had been my wish for quite some time that Commander Pony Racer were still in Louisiana as I know his abilities would be a perfect fit for the command. I only wish his emergency deployment were permenent.
I remain, Your Ob'd Servant,

Sir and on top of that after some senior level discussions (ie horse trading).

I am now doing hurricane planning for the group based out of Mobile, instead of Houma LA LNO job.

Had a nice visit with Maxwell AFB tody and working with officer I am relieving to wrap his job up this week.

It is a huge endeavor.  I will keep you posted.

Sir, I have to report that my deployment was cut short.

When the cap starting working the reason for me going down there to set-up a proper command center/post faded quickly.

I did spend a week as a supevisor on night shift and can say that uniformed, civilian and contractors were all humming to get things right.

I had very little free time - so I was unable to do anything GAF or CAS wise.

I am back in Chesapeake, VA and trying hard to help my lovely bride reconstitute our house will also trying to get my reloading facilities back in order.

As always it is a pleasure and honor to serve!
