I showed a pic of my genuine Remington in SCORRS, now here are a couple pics of my genuine Colt Model 1860!
This 1860 is a little different though. After showing it to some experienced collectors and a little research, I found out that it is a mixed-numbers, "US" stamped (on the trigger guard) Springfield Armory refurbished pistol. I'm told that most were issued to the 9th & 10th Cavalry's (the Buffalo Soldiers).
The second pic is with original M1874 Officer's belt buckle & EM cap badge, and a holster (probably Confederate) that I picked up just after I bought the Colt.
The holster fits the 1860 perfectly. I found some pics of an absolutely identical holster with known Confederate provenance on the net- the only diffence being the color of the leather dye.
Enjoy, and let me know what you think!
