Hi,
Was wondering if anyone has used Brownells 44/40 Instant Gun Blue on their S&W Performance Center Schofields? Give a holler if you have and what were the results.
Thanks,

I have used it in the past although not on a Smith. I recall that it was one of the better cold blues I have used. I noticed that Cabela's had it in their store.

Cold blue is just that -- it looks cold and often looks blotchy.
Brownells also has Dicropan touch-up bluing which I think is better.
On larger areas, I heat the part with HOT water after cleaning and card the solution into the metal -- looks great.
