Well, I'll be.  I never would have known.  

To be honest, I have never seen a Hoppy film, but I have enjoyed several of LL's books.

I know Steele was the Boss in Of Mice and Men.  He wore a glove full of Vaseline ta keep his hand soft fer the girl what got kilt by Lenny.  Think he was in the Big Sleep and on a TV show.  F Troop.
     That good enough?  Sakes alive guys, I'm only 37, knowin this stuff makes me feel like somethin's wrong with me ::)

Uhh, Del, I posted that answer.  The guy was also used as a Jap soldier in a lot of WWII movies even though he was from China.
     I appreciate the tough love education, but a couple hours ago we were talkin about dirt track racin.  Ahh the good ole days.

I can still hold my head high an say I didn't cheat on any of this even though it would have saved me some face and would have been easy what with the world wide web an all. :D
     Guess I'll have ta spend more time starin at the TV ta come up ta muster.
Nawwwwww, I'd rather clean my guns and pester the wife ;D

Leo, I got two words for you,  HOP SING.  Bob Steele and Don "RED" Barry were western stars of the B Westerns of the 30s. In their later years they became Character actors.  They were big stars of the Westerns when John Wayne first got in the business. He always found roles for them in his later movies.
