Well, maybe not quite. The rim on the proper length cartridge strikes the bolt extension. Vigorously working the lever will force the rim past the extension and allow the cartridge to chamber, I understand this is what causes the bolt extension to break. How do I adjust the mechanism to fix that? Do I adjust the lifter, action arm or the lever? It seems to me the lifter is rising before the bolt will fully retract.
The rifle is a Taylor/Uberti with PGW gen 3 short stroke kit, whisper springs and light lever safety spring, that I just purchased used on Gunnutz. It has the stock brass lifter. Can anyone advise me on this problem?
