Well we made the 2nd lowest on record here, -31, Riley went out, did his thing in about a minute in a half and came in and yelled at me for it being cold.    ::)   Now curled up on the couch protecting his nose with his tale like a husky.  Light sucks out there and if I open the blind he will know I want his picture and quit doing it.

Morning all.

25 and light snow falling. Supposed to get about an inch.

Family is on the road for California today. Left at 5 local time, should take about 18 hours.

Was like -10 or so, not sure, was 15 when I went and ran errands, +15 is about my threshold, any colder and it burns big time breathing.

Still S**wing here, but only got maybe 5 more inches, supposed to warm up a little, so hopefully that will melt most of the new stuff off.

My mom will be 85 and still does that. ;)

It's the Hickey side of the family, ask Dale Beethe about it, he knows many of my relatives and spotted that trait in me long ago.

Good luck on the toy store run. Hasn't been any primers and not much powder at my LGs for some time. I think any ammo he gets comes from individuals, not "the system". He pays what he has to pay to get it, and it's priced on the shelf accordingly. Last time I was there, I bought some lead ingots, not sure the alloy but they seemed really hard, I mixed them with some of my wheel weight metal and cast some into 6.5 bullets from a "new to me" Lyman mold from E-bay.

Morning all.

Currently 26 and light clouds. Yesterday hit 40 for about an hour before dropping below freezing again.

Today’s plans include walking the dog, feeding a horse and washing my truck. Not necessarily in that order.

Wonder how many of these ammo hoarders still have 22 lr the bought in 2008-2009?   Probably a lot stored with several hundred rolls of toilet paper.

First full sunny day in a while here.
Seen a few Robins, however the starlings are still in swarms here in the morning. The cats and our big dog run them off in the morning. Sending them to Slim.

Thanks for the coffee - glad all made it thru the big freeze
