I need a 3/4" x 48" black leather belt for a project.
I can't find pre-cut belts anywhere near here.
Suggestions?
Thanks.

Tandy's online sells belt blanks in various sizes. There are several other sources but I have not had enough coffee to blow out the cobwebs this morning.

Howdy, Mr. 40 R!
Do you have any saddle makers in your area? If you can't get a belt blank from Tandy you like, look up that saddle maker. I'd bet that he (or she) has a strap cutter. That will cut a strap from (about) 1/4" to 4" wide. All you have to do is get a piece of hide long and thick enough to get a 48" length.

Bring it along...black or dark brown will do. Not too thick, about like a shoulder strap on Huckleberry rig, if that's not asking too much.
Let me know how much so I'll be sure to have the right amount.
Thanks, from me and my wife.

40-R,
I got your strap ready. I'll bring it to the shoot this Sunday. If I don't see you then, I'll have it with me at the lilly.

I see that your problem is solved 40! Another way would be to piece two straps together in any number of attractive ways to make it longer. Sort of like putting a piece into the middle of the back of a belt to make it fit a sudden change in girth!
