It's a Colt Official Police, Barney also carried a Detective Special when he went to the "big city" to work for another agency.

FYI, cops get really peeved when you call them "Barney". They also hate it when you go "Hey Andy! Can I put my bullet in my gun? Can I? Huh?"

On the tv show Annie Oakly, Gail Davis carried a pair of Police Positives with fake ejector rods hung on them. I saw them at either the NRA museum or at the Cody museum. I think she also did some guest appearances on the Andy Griffith Show where she out shot Andy.

Hollywood! It was easier i suppose for her to handle Double action than single action revolvers.

You still active at NVGC? Miss shooting there myself.

Yeah.  They are building a new rifle range so I haven't done much shooting there lately.
You are missed too.

BTW...IM'ed with your EX the other night.  She was worried about you.

Started out this morning and regulator valve- i believe called a  “compensator valve” (might be wrong kind of have a mental block) broke. Spent big part of morning getting it temp fixed and then replaced.  Then therapy. Do time left to go shoot was not there. Little dissapointed but the other things needed done.  Maybe next week. We did have a late lunch of seafood and brought a big box of left overs home.

After my morning coffee and getting my lady straight I put 50 rds through my nickled Cimarron 1911 and 25 through my Marlin 24 but I had 2 bloopers?? The wad didn't exit the bbl on the first and came out on the second. Haven't had a blooper in a long time. I'll try another box of my reloads tomorrow. I also put 25 through my Thunder Ranch N frame .45 acp.

Shot 20 of my 12 ga reloads at today's match with no bloopers but I used my 97 instead of the Marlin.

Evening all.  Thought I might check in.

Not much has gone on in the land of gold and government since last I was here.  We've had about 8" of that white stuff total, six of which was last night.  We've determined that my dog doesn't like plow trucks, and that chickens will try to dust bathe in fresh s**w.  I also had the pleasure of carrying a pair of tire chains for almost 2 miles and 1000 vertical feet to rescue a Ford Ranger.  Good times.

And to top that all off, I've got some sort of sickness going on, complete with cough, muscle soreness, headache and 101 fever.  Lucky me.

Now if y'all will excuse me, I'm going to drink some tea and turn in for the night.
