Hey There Deacon
SURPRISE!!!
PLUS ONE for Abilene (mostly)
Load data for APP is just what you may have read. Except, you want the propellant to just touch the base of the bullet. No air space. At most just feeble compression. Any cartridge, any size, any bullet, same load instruction. Simple!! If you find you wish to reduce the load, simply top off the load with Cream-0-Wheat to the base of the bullet. Easy Peasy.
I don't necessarily subscribe to the "get fired cases in water quick" theorem. Some times I don't get em in water for days. They look crummy by then, but I just soak 'em in warm water 50/50 with white Vinegar. No Problem.
I can provide you with "weight" charges I shoot. I run 14 - 15Gr 3f in C45S. Something similar in 44 Russian. 14 - 15Gr in 45 Schofield topped with C-0-W and 11Gr in 38 (any bullet).
Have Fun Out There
