Welp!  here is the skinny at my casa !

Needing new set of tires for my ride, I been socking away eBay earned nickels & dollars.
They aren't cheap! being 18" wheels, some north of 4 figures   :o
I was planning on March no major rush, just about 2MM above the wear bars.
So, It could go a bit longer, and now I will need to.  :-[

"She" broke a tooth the other day, it was a root canaled and capped molar done some years ago.
It's broken off at the gumline, cost to surgery remove it  :o  3 grand !
Somewhat Fortunately, our Medicare advantage does pay $1000 and I oppted' for the Family plan
back when I had some work done during the later days of the covid lockdown.

So out the door, "SHE" gets it pulled and we pay $800 bucks  ::)

Oh well, I was not planning any trips anyway in my SUV , and we did put NEW $1000 tires on her SUV back in November.  :-X

Aren't it grand!  :(

Great. It is a useful tool. One thing I learned the hard way, always wear a mask. Walnut dust is nasty stuff.
Thanks for the tip.

I have taken to CCW my S&W mod. 36...actually again,
I had carried it for some time, some years ago. Super reliable,
Did like the 38cal. Critical Defense but 5 rounds were a bit lacking.

I just ordered one of these.

Finally tested negative for Covid, yesterday and today. My bride has a bad sore throat but tests negative for Covid. I'm almost 100%. Can't wait to get back to the pool.

I have speed strips and safariland speed loaders for all my revolvers from .22  up to .45, but most are for my J & K frames.

I had pocket carried the J Frame in a High Noon pocket holster from when I got my CCW permit about 09 .
Then a couple of differed auto loaders several years.
Having returned to Model 36, in a Desantis Nemesis and wanting extra rounds.

I didn't really want the strip loose in my pocket, because I have my wallet in the left and the J frame in the right pocket, I figure the strip with rounds would seek the lowest level.  :-\

The pouch is for your belt?
Do you have the Magna grips on your Model 36?

Glad to hear Johnny, i did not hear you say Tag, you're it, but we have Covid here now.  )-:    Both feeling pretty cruddy, but am able to work from home, which mitigates PTO.  I like to save that for actually doing something fun.

Hope you get over it soon. I've had it three times and it usually took me around 6-7 days to test negative. One thing that helped was to drink lots of liquids.

This is my 3rd bout as well.   I hit the green tea and juice pretty hard yesterday.  I am thinking a hot toddy should count.

A couple tablespoons of Honey in warm water also works good.

i am working on hot lemonade at the moment.  It is a family remedy from my dad's side.   joke was you only got it if there was hope of recovery, lemons were to expensive to waste on someone if you needed money for the funeral.  (we have a dark humor).   Lemons much cheaper than they used to be, thankfully.

Yes Sir, I'll left side it, and pocket the 36 in the right side.
It will be un-reading on the belt, probably pass for Cell phone case.
My 36 has S&W's classic walnut grips (below) they replaced the OEM Rosewood Manga's

Sorry you are under the weather with Woo Hoo flu, Mog.... hope it's a light case.

I had it just once in June 2022, so far knock on wood I've avoided getting it again.

That looks like my 36, but mine has the flat cylinder release like this.

I'm not sure when S&W went to the rounded cylinder release.
I used to know but the trivia is stored in the dusty confined space in my head somewhere.
My gun dates to 1982, I bought it as a consignment piece about 14 years ago, carried it several years.

Edit...had to look it up  :)

The flat latch was only used on the chief special and its J- frame variants from 1950 until late 1966.
In 1966 the thumb piece that unlocked the cylinder was replaced by the new concave checkered thumb latch that unlocks the swing out cylinder of the revolvers.
