The Leather Shop / Re: Master Cement

Being thinner when you opened the new can could just be because some of the solvents had evaporated out of the old can from being open when you used it. I've found that I often have to thin it as the can gets used up. My working glue bottle doesn't seem to seal well and it always gets thickened even f I don't use it for a while. You have to make sure those caps are snug when you close the can.

Marshal, I just opened up my latest can of Barge and the consistency is definitely different than my previous cans of it. It's thinner and less sticky right out of the can. It spreads better and easier but does take a tad longer to set. Seems to work well enought though through this first holster set I have done with it.

I will monitor it closely in case I run into any issues.

 :)  How Cool  ;)

As a teenager growing up, I wanted very badly to be a Duck Hunter with my Uncle, who had a California Duck Club.  My Mom bought me a Winchester M12 so I could go Duck Hunting with said Uncle.  Many years ago, I had a Vent Rib added and Trap Wood with a complete re-blue.  Have no intention of ever selling it.

You can reshape the stock rear Uberti barrel sights to be almost just like an original. I do most of mine as I don't care for the Uberti square notch.

Cliff, I was revisiting this thread and I’m curious about that mod. Don’t suppose you could text or email me some pics? Or post them here? I’d love to see both what the sight looks like on originals and what your mod looks like. Many thanks in advance!

Shotguns / Re: Dumb Question
« Last post by Dave T on August 04, 2022, 11:42:37 PM »
Well, I know the answer to what chokes my shotgun has. Located the exact same MI-VAL model for sale on GunsInternational.com, and for a good bit more than I paid a little over a year ago. The chokes listed are Mod/Full, which is why I've been having some of my cleaning accessories hang up on the left barrel.

Now to repeat my original questions, does anyone know someone competent to ream out the chokes to something more usable for me or does anyone know of a custom smith who could competently cut the barrels down to 24" to 26"?
