Tall Tales / Re: Hot August Nights with Coffee & Tea.

Had a CAS match today, great weather and a lot of fun stages. Had my first popper today, got one out of two, so I was happy doing that with a coach gun. Even wore my new bowler hat today.

Marlin Lever Action Rifles / Re: The new Marlin made by Ruger

At first I didn't care for the big loop lever but it has grown on me, but I thought it needed a leather wrap of some sort. Also I decided to replace the cross bolt safety with a saddle ring and use the half cock safety like all the older Marlins have.

Greetings all.

Not much to report. Everything here is muddy from a gully washer while I was trying to sleep. That’s about all there is to report from the Dark Continent.

Cas City Historical Society / Burnside and Maynard in Action

There isn't really a good category for this, so I'll post it here. I don't believe that I've ever seen anyone actually shooting a Burnside or a Maynard before.

This is my newest 1892, a new Winchester Deluxe Take Down in .45 Colt. This is the best wood on any of my rifles.

 :)  Ha!  ;)

No flash, no Fanfare.  I also had a plethora of toys in the 60s.  But it really started when I walked into a Gun Show in Denver Colorado and the local SASS club had an actual Overland Wells Fargo stage coach set up with a table in front and continuous running video.  Not to mention two of the gals were in Saloon Girl costume.  I must admit, the Saloon Girls hooked me right in.
