Looking for help on a M1860 Spencer with a serial number of 36,745.

Date of manufacture?
Any info on unit issue?

Checked on your serial # 36745 -  closest serial # I found is # 36748, a Spencer carbine issued to Company M, 2nd New York Volunteer Cavalry in 1865.  Quite a few Spencer Carbines in this serial range were issued to the same unit.  That's all the information I have.
