Rosettes

I keep seeing these rosettes and I think so far, the ones I noticed most are Rick Bachman's work. What kind of stamp is used for the outer portion?

I haven't seen those before. I'd guess that stamp may be one he made himself. It wouldn't be too hard. Other than that, it could be a smooth meander used with a smooth veiner, possible cut off at one end.

One of the holsters I saw it on gave me the feeling that it might've used a meander for the outermost portion.

This is a Rick Bachman holster I just got from Two Flints.... I know nothing of the Rosette except
he sold 3 other pieces with the same stamp....

I'm thinking it is Rick Bachman's proprietary pattern  :-\

It very well could be. I'm not necessarily looking to duplicate it exactly. That was just an example. I've seen others that were similar.

You might look at antiques, I found an old stamp that does a rosette in one piece.   I believe it does a 2 inch diameter one.

Hi

Could you post similar ones please.  I've made a few I found online, but they're all made from Veiners that have ridges along the inside of the curve.  Somehow that doesn't look all that rose like.  I should practice carving a real rose instead of a rosette I guess.

The others I've been looking at are in magazines. One is straight while the one in the pic is curved.
