Thanks Roo

Had a good drenching about 1PM yesterday , rained for about an hour and cleared.
Then about 7 PM the thunder boomers rolled in , a pretty good storm  let up about 8:30.
And then again @ Midnight

Claim for today is 85% more of the same....  no plan to visit the FFL,  still shuttered due to Covid-19
Although, my FFL /friend has recovered only a lingering cough now.

No drenching here. When the water finally shut off here, about 3-4 weeks ago, it SHUT OFF. Like it usually does. Had one somewhat wet day, July 4, again what it usually does. And a couple of "pop up" showers that barely settle the dust. Got to go move the sprinkler hose in the garden in a minute.

Actually, we have too. Unfortunately, normal for Central Missouri can be none or nearly none for 3-4 weeks in the summer. And then a toad strangler that just all runs off and doesn't soak in.

I guess I should have said the proper amount. ::)

Went adventuring today, Jo Ann's, Hobby Lobby, Grocery Store,  Little Kingsfor a samwhich,  were almost gone and opened some new ones, one close.  Had a Royal Treat, reminded me of my younger days, buddy walking in with a duck decoy and telling them he wanted a Royal Treat and to get the duck a root beer.

Never mind you would have had to been there and been in and altered state.   ;D

And what does your duck want to drink?

What I understand Florida is also experiencing a drought. Friend telling me they are on watering restrictions.  Even if you have a well.

Coffee is hot- ice and some sweet tea ready as well.

That would be north Florida including the panhandle & north Central....
Less so in my area though we have had some drought in March & April .
I'm not aware of restrictions in my county (Osceola )
That was not the case when Wildfires ravaged Florida 20 years ago, burning half a million acres.
Some dangerously close by, one wooded 5 acre lot just within 400 feet away.

Homosassa , you were close enough so I knew where you meant.

It is over on the Gulf Coast about 70 miles North of Tampa ,and yes they are dry.

The daily rain storms in Florida are confluence of sea breezes over the central Florida I-4 corridor
I is drawn away from the coasts, unless it is Tropical in nature , then they get nailed

Afternoon all.

Supposed to get put it he triple digits today. I’m laid up a bit though, and won’t be spending much time outside. Friday a friend and I went for a hike in the mountains and ended up hurting my lower back. It’s a recurring problem, and I just have to take it easy for a day or two to fix it.
