From an ex-soldier and ex-policeman from Britain,
your message needs to be posted as far and wide as possible, not just on Bold. If he doesn't want to be seen in the presence of Law and Military, what does this say about his attitude to the law and the general mass of the public.  I know that he may gain election (God forbid) but this does not put him above the law. Thats all I've got to say, I wish you the best of luck.

I've never worn the uniform.  When I see a man or woman in uniform, I'm in awe.  Obama hasn't worn it either and when he sees a man or woman in uniform, he's what?  Embarrassed?  Ashamed?  Maybe just better than...

To be so judged by him, please don't take it personally.  He can't figure out how to choose his sponsors and mentors (Ayers, Wright).

I guess I should be shocked but I am not.

With an estimated 800,000 Law Enforcement and 1,400,000 (+) Military on Active Duty; that's not a group you want riled up.

I know how I am voting...and this just confirms and reinforces that.

Not surprised. Generally politicians want their personal "shield" between them and the other elements, but once in a while...{ Maybe once a week ::) } ... A pol comes along who hates cops. The contempt of the Clintons for their protection details is legendary.  When Zell Miller was Lt. Governor in Georgia he once demanded that his Trooper escort/driver never be armed in his presence. Thank God the Colonel put the kibosh on that. My experience came when I was a Captain in a small Northwest Georgia town. We had a US Senator come to town for a rally held at a middle school. The City Police Commissioner ordered a detail to report to the school unarmed...."because it's at a school and guns scare kids!" Several "pocket rockets" were at the rally that day.
When you're wounded and left on Afghanistan's plains...and the women come out to cut up what remains; Just roll to your rifle and blow out your brains. And go to your God like a Soldier.

Boys, if ya been payin’ attention ya know the worse thing a president can do for law enforcement is the appointment of liberal/socialist judges on a national level. Take a guess as to who of the two choices will do the worse to the rank ‘n file cops on the street. As well as the people. 'Nuff said.

A teacher in a liberal/socialist state asked her 6th grade class how many of them were Obama fans. Not really knowing what an Obama fan is, but wanting to be liked by the teacher, all the kids raised their hands except for Little Johnny.

The teacher asked Little Johnny why he has decided to be different again. Little Johnny said, 'Because I'm not an Obama fan.' The teacher asked, 'Why aren't you an Obama fan?'

Johnny said, 'Because I'm a Republican.' The teacher asked him why he's a Republican. Little Johnny answered, 'Well, my Mom's a Republican and my Dad's a Republican, so I'm a Republican.'

Annoyed by this answer, the teacher asked, 'If your mom was a moron and your dad was an idiot, what would that make you?' With a big smile, Little Johnny replied, 'That would make me an Obama fan.'

All I did was name it ‘n get it started. The posse made it great. A debt I can never repay. Thank you, mi amigos.

I wonder if Jason Kern is still on the Executive Committee? His name is not on the website and there is a Training Commitee position open. I am always skeptical of these things until I know for sure whether the person in question wrote them. Not seeing his name on the website makes me wonder if he wasn't really a member or if there were repercussions after he wrote this. I hope it's true - than everyone can see Obama for what he really is.

I'm not in the undecided camp.  Still, fwiw I did find a site (with obvious leanings) that claims to have some further info on Jason Kern, allegedly from Jason Kern himself: http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/9/5/203913/5164/425/588428.

This may be a hoax.  Doesn't make sense that the Secret Service would tell law enforcement Obama doesn't want to be seen with them.
Besides, here is a post by Jason Kern, found on another site:

Let me give you some background of this email.
I sent it out to my close co-workers and to the Michigan Tactical Officer's Association Board Members only. From there, it was sent all over this earth without my knowledge. I do NOT work for the Michigan State Police. I work for another agency. The MTOA nor myself make a habit of sending out emails like this. It was basically sent to my friends and one of them sent it out to someone else who sent it out to someone else and so on.
I also WAS NOT THERE. I had spoken with Law Enforcement personnel that their agency was involved with Mr. Obama's security prior to sending it out. My message starts at the "To all" section. I did not go on the ranting portion calling Mr. Obama names either.
If I offended you, I apologize. That is all the information I have on the visit to Battle Creek.

That is verbatim what was printed in the link I referenced.  The fact that this story hasn't caught on, or perhaps somehow we missed it being discussed, makes the whole thing sound bogus to me.

I've had it up to my eyebrows as it is without this being thrown in the mix.  I hope it's not true, but it's a dead end, even if it comes as no surprise given the more than enough legit issues we have the right to know about that are still being dodged.

You guys have all heard the joke about Obama at the pearly gates right? The one where he says he was sworn in 5 minutes ago?

My guess is Obama doesn't want it to look like he'll need to be blanketed with police in order to do his job. Its easy to imagine how a photo of Obama with 20 police officers around him would quickly be turned into "He needs 100s of cops around him for fear of being assasinated" or something like that.
