It was suggested to me that it would be a good idea if we compiled a list of suppliers of clothing and equipment so that members would be able to find the items they need for our game. My list below has been "borrowed" from the now defunct General Miles Marching and Chowder Society. Their authenticy standards were extremely high so if you order from the list below you can be assured that your purchase will be of very high quality. Check out Percival Custom Leather (percivalcustomleather.com)

This guy makes period military holsters (Civil war, Indian Wars etc) McClellan saddles and tack as well as a host of other associated appurtenances.

His quality and attention to detail is unsurpassed. Each item is handmade by Paul aka Trooper Smith.

In my 50 years of wearing  gunleather, I have never seen better.
I use his competition holsters for my SASS matches.

Gloves
Specifically white cotton dress gloves to be worn with the dress uniform. When I was a little boy my mom used to wear gloves that were very similar to Berlins to church. See the General's avitar or the picture of me, Col. Major Matt Lewis and Col.Diamond in the Iron Trooper thread.

Depends on how accurate a copy you want. Hat Crafters makes a fakey one, but Dirty Billy is the only quality copy I'm aware of,

Mainstream quality but S&S Firearms carry Indian Wars blouses in 1874 and 1880 versions. They also carry a couple different versions of trousers. Also have the brown duck trousers. Honestly anything up to the mid 70's. One could get away with CW era clothing. Maybe a mix of civilian gear for a field impression. Classified sections on CW message boards might yield some decent stuff. I can't imagine anyone not being aware of it. The Authentic Campaigner has some really nice gear pass through also. You just have to decide where your budget, comfort level for authenticity and what your peers are doing, mesh together.
