Hey pards' has anyone else been following the recent scuttle with the USFA guns coming back. I have been following this on their Facebook page and Instagram. As of last night I got a notification there is a new owners group for those who do the Facebook thing. They posted a beauty of a hammer the other day on Instagram so loos like there is forward momentum

I found this group searching around for information on the return of USFA, great knowledge base here , Cheers!

I'm a member of that group and there's been no mention at all, at least what I've seen, of USFA coming back.

Did you look at the USFA Instagram account?? They just posted some hammers they are finishing up.

:) I would seriously be suspect of any instagram account attributed to USFA.  USFA is and has been well and truly gone.  USFAs machine tools were ALL trucked away.

BISONWHISPERER

With all due respect every one of those machines is severely outdated and have been surpassed by a longshot. People have successful firearm manufacturing operations in their garages now, for example my custom 1911's are all made in a very small shop with 3 guys . Technology and availability has grown exponentially since the USFA folding. Numerous industry people are now talking about the NRA show prototype that was spotted. While I am a bit of a pessimist myself a lot of new information is giving me hope. I have noticed a lot of dealers dumping their old USFA inventory they have been holding onto, wonder if they know something?  I did notice Brian Pearce and a few other big names in the USFA Facebook group

The question was about a Facebook group, I'm not on Instagram.

 :) Well Heck ;)

The cost of starting back up, from scratch, would be horrendous.  Think about that for just a minute, and anyone seriously thinking Donnally would go the investment is BONKERS!!  He'd have to be Stark Raving BONKERS!!  Also must consider, the market.  At this point in time, the demand for Single Action Revolvers is constantly shrinking.  The Halcyon Days of Explosive CAS expansion are just a fond memory.

Yes, and if there were demand for this type and quality of revolver, all that would need to happen is for Standard Manufacturing to expand their current line.

Uberti guns are probably good enough nowdays that you could just stamp them and do the final fit and finish in the USA and you would have a really nice gun. No import marks and real bone charcoal and of course a Colt style hammer. Give them a recoil plate and a boss for the ejector rod.
