Gentlemen, This is probably a stupid question, but why are gas checks out of stock everywhere? Is there a shortage of aluminum and copper?
-
Folks are hoarding. Every reloading component you can think of. I think it's starting to ease up, at least I'm starting to see powder on shelves at the local outfits. Picked up some Red Dot this weekend.
-
......have you checked Sage Outfitters? I received 1k .30 cal gator checks from him last week.
-
Checked Sage's for aluminum checks. Out of stock.
-
See? Bob there out hoarded ya. Like sale day at Wal Mart, gotta move fast or the fat lady with the bent wheel cart will run you over.
-
Then count me as a Walmart casualty!
-
Just found 30 caliber gas checks $60 per thousand on precision reloading.com never dealt with them but. Don't fight over them boys.
-
I wonder if there is a YouTube video out there on how to make your own aluminum gas checks from beer cans. Some how, I see a twisted and convoluted justification for drinking and shooting...just not at the same time.

I believe there's a tool made for that, but, it's probably out of stock, no backorder. Like about anything else related to reloading.

There is, and it is.

I know there used to be, looked like a lot of work to me.
Somewhere in someone's Mommies basement it a bunch of gas checks, toilet paper, 22 Long Rifles and what ever else they horded they didn't need, likely Beanie Babies and Cabbage Patch Dolls also. Myself it's a reasonable amount of coffee, of several types maybe 10-12 pounds in 1/4 pound vacuum sealed bags. In ahouse with one coffee drinker that makes it 1 cup at a time it will keep me going, probably buy a couple more pounds on Friday.
